Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MakeMyFind website, mobile site and apps ("MakeMyFind", "we", "us"), operated by Ankit Tiwari, sole proprietor, trading as MakeMyFind, 1749/A, White Quarter, Jammu Colony, Ludhiana, Punjab 141002. By creating an account or using MakeMyFind you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund, Cancellation & Autopay Policy.

1. What MakeMyFind is

MakeMyFind is an online platform where people in India can post and find classified ads (goods, vehicles, electronics, furniture), property for sale or rent, PG and hostel rooms, local jobs, matrimony profiles, dating profiles, and offers from businesses. MakeMyFind is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We are not a party to any deal, sale, rental, job, marriage or meeting between users, and we do not own, inspect, guarantee or deliver any item or property listed.

2. Who can use MakeMyFind

You must be at least 18 years old. Matrimony profiles must also meet the legal age of marriage in India (21 for men, 18 for women). Dating is strictly 18+.
You must give true information and may hold only one personal account. Business accounts must belong to a real business.
Accounts are created with a mobile number (OTP) or Google sign-in. You are responsible for everything done from your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.

3. Verification

We offer mobile OTP, live-selfie and government-ID verification (through DigiLocker or a licensed KYC partner). A verification badge only means the check described was passed at that time. It is not a guarantee of a person's identity, character, intentions, marital status, income or the condition of anything they sell. Always meet in public, inspect before paying and use your own judgement.

4. Posting ads and profiles

You are responsible for what you post. You must not post anything that:

is false, misleading, or uses someone else's photos or identity;
offers illegal or prohibited items, including weapons, drugs, wildlife products, counterfeit goods, stolen vehicles or vehicles without valid papers, prescription medicines, alcohol, tobacco, adult content or financial schemes;
asks job seekers for any fee or deposit, or asks for "token money" or advance payment before an item or property is seen;
discriminates illegally, harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred;
infringes copyright, trademarks or anyone's privacy;
breaks the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, or any other Indian law.

Property listings by builders and agents must show a RERA registration number where the law requires one. Employers must follow Indian labour laws.

We may review, edit for format, refuse, hide or remove any ad or profile, and suspend or block accounts, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms or the law are broken. We act on valid government or court orders as the law requires.

5. Matrimony

Matrimony profiles are for genuine marriage only. Profiles may be created by the person or by a parent or sibling with the person's consent.
Religion, caste, community and gotra are shown only if you choose to add them. Filters on these fields are provided because families commonly ask for them; they are not a statement by MakeMyFind about anyone's worth.
We do not verify marital status, income, education or family details unless a badge says so. Families should make their own enquiries before any commitment.
MakeMyFind is not a marriage bureau and does not guarantee a match or a marriage. Fees for Assisted Matchmaking are for the service of shortlisting and introductions only.

6. Kundli and Gun Milan

Kundli and Gun Milan scores (Ashtakoota, out of 36) are calculated from the birth date, time and place you enter, using the Moon's sidereal position (Lahiri ayanamsa). They follow traditional Vedic astrology rules and are provided for cultural and guidance purposes only. They are not scientific predictions and must not be the only basis for any marriage, health, financial or legal decision. Results depend on the accuracy of birth details. Detailed kundli reports are prepared by independent astrologers.

7. Dating and meeting people

Dating is for adults (18+) only. Only photo-verified members can like, gift or chat.
Never send money, gift cards or personal financial details to someone you met on MakeMyFind. Report anyone who asks.
Meet in public places, tell a friend or family member where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
"Gift a drink" vouchers are redeemed at partner cafés, who are responsible for what they serve.

8. Buying, selling and renting safely

Deals are made directly between users. MakeMyFind does not hold money, give warranties or arrange delivery. Inspect items, vehicles (including RC, insurance and loan clearance) and property (including title papers) before paying. Never pay token money or deposits before a visit. Rent agreements, police verification of tenants and property registration are the responsibility of the parties.

9. Paid plans and autopay

MakeMyFind Pass: ₹199 per month or ₹1,499 per year (prices include GST unless stated). New users get a 30-day free trial, once per verified mobile number.
Business Pass: ₹999 per month for dealers, builders, PG owners and employers.
One-time purchases: featured ads, detailed kundli reports, Assisted Matchmaking and brand advertising, at the prices shown at checkout.
If you set up autopay, you authorise us, through our payment partner Razorpay, to charge the plan amount on each renewal date until you cancel. Full details are in our Refund, Cancellation & Autopay Policy.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A new price applies to autopay only from the renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.

10. Brand ads and offers

Businesses that advertise are responsible for their offers, prices, stock and terms. Festival and launch offers are made by the advertiser, not by MakeMyFind. Ads must be truthful and follow the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) code and consumer protection law.

11. Your content and our use of it

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. You give MakeMyFind a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and promote them on MakeMyFind and its social media while your ad or profile is live. Matrimony and dating photos are never used in advertising without your separate consent.

12. Things you must not do

Scrape, copy or collect other users' data, phone numbers or photos.
Use bots, fake accounts or automated messages, or try to bypass verification, limits or payment.
Upload viruses or interfere with the security or working of MakeMyFind.
Contact users for marketing they did not ask for.

13. Disclaimers and limit of liability

MakeMyFind is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that any listing, profile or offer is accurate. To the extent the law allows, MakeMyFind is not liable for any loss arising from dealings between users, from content posted by users, or from astrology results. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate MakeMyFind for any claim, loss or penalty caused by your content, your breach of these Terms or your breach of law.

15. Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by writing to makemyfind@gmail.com. Deleting your account cancels autopay for future renewals. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Paid amounts for accounts closed for breach are not refunded.

16. Complaints and Grievance Officer

Under the IT Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can contact our Grievance Officer: Ankit Tiwari, makemyfind@gmail.com, 1749/A, White Quarter, Jammu Colony, Ludhiana, Punjab 141002. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. Requests to remove content that shows a person in a sexual or intimate way, or impersonates them, are acted on within 24 hours. You can also use the "Report" button on any ad, profile or chat.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Ludhiana, Punjab have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will show the new date at the top and tell you by email, SMS or in the app before important changes take effect. Continuing to use MakeMyFind after that means you accept the updated Terms.
